Sometimes we want more ways to engage with the ECC community but are unsure how to go about that. We may want to feel more connected. One way is to volunteer! We have several events coming up that need spirited volunteers such as yourself!
In addition to connection and engagement, volunteering can also offer the opportunity to be creative. When you start volunteering for various events or tasks you may come up with new ideas or ways to contribute and add vibrancy to our community. Why creativity? Benefits of creativity are numerous. One is it just feels good. Who doesn’t want to feel good? Also, service is an important part of the spiritual path. It’s worth exploring to find out for yourself how it informs your path.
Questions? Please reach out to Shannon Fletcher, our brand new Engagement Coordinator at volunteer@envisioncommunitychurch.org.
Spring & Summer 2023 Needs
The needs coming up first and foremost are for Family Ministry, Pride booth staffing, and Chapel Care.
Family Ministry Volunteers
Commitment: One service per quarter.
Description: Join us in creating a safe space of joy and love of God for our littlest ECCers. We ask for a one Sunday per quarter commitment, from 4:45pm through communion. All Family Ministry volunteers must pass a background check annually, and complete Darkness to Light Stewards of Children training online prior to serving with our youth and children. ECC will cover all associated costs of your background check and online training.
Contact: Email Pastor Nicole to begin your background check and training.
Pride Booth Volunteers
Commitment: 2 hours on either June 11 or June 30
Description: Join us for an hour or two shift at Boulder and Longmont Pride festivals. You’ll be a friendly face from our community, celebrating Pride and handing out stickers and candy. This is will be an opportunity to actively connect with the LGBTQ+ community about the possibility of a loving, safe, and accepting place to worship. Talking points will be provided.
Contact: Contact Pastor Kristie, who will also have a sign-up sheet in the chapel for volunteer shifts available starting 4/30. Shifts for Sunday, June 11th/Boulder Pride will start at 10 am with set up and run through 6 pm for clean up. Shifts for Friday, June 30th/Longmont Pride will start at 3 pm for set up and end at 9 pm for clean up.
Chapel Care Volunteers
Commitment: One hour per quarter.
